A Great Tricep Work Out For Dog Owners?

An Innovative Tricep Work Out

What does a tricep work out and dogs have to do with each other? Let me explain. There’s a good lesson that we can learn from dogs. That is, they’re always ready. They don’t make excuses. If you go to the front door, the dog’s there with you wanting to get out. If you want to go for a walk, they want to go with you. If you want to go for a ride, they want to go with you. They’re always ready to go and they don’t make excuses, right? So there’s definitely something that we can learn from that. It’s very valuable when you’re trying to get something done in the gym but you’re always going to try to make an excuse of why you can’t do it.

Tricep Work Out With Dog Leashes?

One thing that really gets to us the most, is the dip. I’m sure you’ve seen dips before, and today we’re looking at a cool little tip for you. There are so many ways to do and accomplish it even if you don’t have a dip station. You can do them in so many different places and we’ll cover that. But also, some people say that they’re not that hard, especially at a certain level where it doesn’t really work you out any more. So what can you do to make them harder? For those who don’t want to go out and buy a weight belt, let’s learn another thing from the dogs and let’s actually steal one of their tools – the dog leash. This is really simple. Any regular dog leash will do, nothing fancy needed. We’re going to turn a dog leash into a dipping belt. Simply run the leash through the hole in the middle of a plate. Hook the end to the handle of the leash. This should form sort of a loop. Just step through the belt, pick the weight up with the leash and rest it on the back of the hip right above your buttocks. The weight alone is going to actually let it sit. Now you have your weighted dip using a $5 leash, instead of buying an $80 dipping belt. That’s number one.

Work Your Triceps on Your Kitchen Counter

Now let’s say you don’t have a dip station. One thing that we’ve used before is to take a kitchen counter. Anywhere in your kitchen, you’re going to have a counter and at the corner of the counter, you can put one hand one side and another hand on the other side and you can do your dips right there. That one you’re going to have access to almost anywhere.

Another way is to set up a bar in a rack if you’ve got a squat rack but you don’t have a dip set up. It’s simple, what you do is to set the straight bar up, around the level of your belly button. Hover over the top of it, and then come down straight real close to the bar. This one actually gets a little bit more of the lower chest area than the regular dip because you’re hovering over, and are on top of the bar. Rest your weight on your hands while grasping the bar, lift your feet and cross your legs off the floor. Now slowly come down and lean forward at the same time, and then push up. Straighten up as you come up, then lean in and forward as you go down so you could keep the weight balanced.

A Tricep Work Out on an Old Treadmill!

Lastly, you can use a treadmill. A lot of people have purchased treadmills that are doing nothing but collecting dust in the house. You can use this as a dipping station. Just get on the handles at the side which you normally use to steady yourself on the treadmill. This is another option to get your dips in if you think you don’t have something.

As you can see, there are a lot of ways that we can do dips, and it’s not just dips. With AthleanX, you can accomplish pretty much everything because it tells you how to work around things that you don’t have. If you don’t have a straight bar, there are things you can do. If you don’t have dumbbells, there are things you can do. It’s just that you have to be a little bit creative and actually want to have to change your body. If you’ve got that in place, you can do anything.
Having said that, head to AthleanX.com. We have the AthleanX training system that is geared to get you in the best shape possible utilizing simple techniques, creative fun, but simple and straight forward. Everything should be easy for you. If it’s not creative and fun, you’re going to hate it.
In the meantime, let’s learn from our dogs, if you have them. They’re spontaneous, ready to do whatever they have to, whenever you want to. Let’s be the same way, no excuses – let’s get the best body. Time is running out. If summer is coming, you’ve got to look the best you ever had and get started on something today. This program isn’t just about a good tricep work out, it covers your entire physique.
